Ogun Police Order Motorcycle Operators To Register Before October 1

Ogun state government has announced the first of October as the date to commence the enforcement of motorcycle riders without proper documentation.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Abimbola Oyeyemi announced this at a press conference, explaining that the move is part of an effort at addressing security concerns in the state as motorcycles have been used as an easy means of getaway by criminals while noting that with proper documentation, security agencies and motorcycle associations in the state will be able to identify those with criminal intent.

However, coordinator of the commercial motorcycle identification scheme, Juwon Debanjo explained that accurate consultations have been done to carry out the task while appealing to the enforcement team to be civil in carrying out the task.
