NJC Announces 37 New Judicial Appointments, As FCT, Five States Get Chief Judges

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has released the list of 38  persons recommended for various judicial appointments in the federal capital territory (FCT) Abuja and 10 states across the country.
NJC’s Director Of Information, Soji Oye, who spoke to newsmen,  explained that the council accepted the candidates after considering the list presented by its committee, stressing that the candidates will be recommended to either President Muhammadu Buhari or their respective state governors for an appointment depending on the courts they are to serve.

Oye further stated that all recommended candidates are expected to be sworn in after approval by President Muhammadu Buhari, their respective state governors, and confirmation by the respective state house of assemblies.
