Senate President Laments Insecurity, Seeks More Funds For Nigerian Military.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has called on the Federal Government to prioritize and tackle the growing insecurity in the country by constantly engaging with the legislature.
Lawan stated this in a speech he delivered to welcome Senators back from the upper chamber’s two-month annual recess, noting that efforts must be made to sustain the fight against the menace by ensuring adequate funding for security agencies in the 2022 budget.

Lawan however commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for the recent success recorded in their fight against insurgency and banditry in the country, while urging them to sustain the campaigns until the insurgents and bandits are rooted out in the country.
