240 Inmates Escape As Gunmen Attack Kogi Prison

Over 240 inmates have escaped the medium-security custodial centre in  Kabba, Kogi State, following an attack by suspected armed gunmen.
State Nigerian Correctional Service Spokesman, Francis Enobore confirmed the incident to newsmen, explaining that the attackers  arrived at the custodial centre and engaged the guards in a gun battle.

Enobore further disclosed that the state comptroller–general, Haliru Nababa has ordered full investigation to be carried out in order to  re-arrest the inmates.
