CBN To Refund Deposits To Bureau De Change Promoters.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced that it will commence the  immediate reimbursement of capital deposits and licensing fees to  bureau de change promoters with pending license applications, sequel  to the apex bank’s   decision to stop it licensing.
The  Apex bank disclosed this  in a circular signed by the director of   financial policy and regulation department, Ibrahim Tukur, noting  that the capital deposits and licensing fees amount to 35 million  naira  and 1 million naira  respectively.

It, therefore, directed all deposit monetary banks to henceforth  desist from accepting instructions from customers to transfer capital  deposit to designated CBN accounts for the purpose of applying for  bureau de change licensing.
