Ogun Spends 7.38 Billion Naira On Roads In 6 Months

Ogun state government spent a total of 7.389 billion Naira on various  completed and ongoing projects, with rehabilitation work on many other road projects across the three senatorial districts between January and June 2021.
Special Adviser to the governor on works and infrastructure, Engineer  Akeem Adesina, who made the disclosure during the ongoing 2021 budget performance assessment before members of the state house of assembly says some of the projects include, Fajol -Alogi inner road, Kemta-Idi  Aba road in Abeokuta south and Odeda local government areas,   Ejirin-Mobalufon- Oluwalogbon road in Ijebu-Ode, Raypower,  Navy-Osi-Ikola, and Joju road roads in Ado-Odo/Ota,  Ilaro-Owode road in Yewa South local government area, Imasayi-Igan road in Yewa North,  and construction of city gate monument at Sagamu interchange, among others.

Also, The General Manager, State Public Works Agency (OGPWA), Engineer  Gbenga Akinola, while presenting the agency’s budget performance  report, stated that 110.46 million Naira has been spent on maintenance  of roads and bridges in the state within the period under review,

The lawmakers in their remarks ask public works agencies to step up measures at giving more priority to linking and inner roads in communities that are currently in deplorable condition due to recent heavy downpours across the state.
