President Buhari Urges More Nigerians To Embrace Farming

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed concern over the low number of arable lands which is being cultivated by farmers in the country.
Buhari, who expressed his displeasure while addressing journalists at his residence after the Eid-El-Kabir prayers, explains that the presidential economic advisory council has notified him that only 2.5 percent of the land in the country is being used for farming while directing security outfits to work with communities in order to create a more friendly environment for farmers to plant and cultivate farm produce so as to achieve food sustainability.

He, however, urged Nigerians to embrace farming, while stating that those taking advantage of the Sallah celebration to outrageously increasing prices of food and rams citizens are not following the virtues of Islam.
