Gbajabiamila Advises INEC, NCC On Electronic Transmission Of Election Results

Speaker Of The House Of Representatives,  Femi Gbajabiamila has asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Nigerian  Communications Commission (NCC) to work together in conducting credible polls, as the country plans to begin electronic transmission  of election results in 2023.

Gbajabiamila, who stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja, says the electoral body is empowered by the constitution to conduct elections, while NCC also has the technological capability to ensure electronic   transmission of election  results in the country.

He, however, asks Nigerians not to blame lawmakers who voted against  electronic voting because most of them believes that people of their  constituents may be disenfranchised due to poor network coverage in  their areas.
