Jega Kicks Against Onochie As INEC Commissioner

A former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission  (INEC), Attahiru Jega has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to  withdraw the nomination of his aide, Lauretta Onochie, as a national  commissioner of INEC.
Jega  gave the urge during an interview with newsmen, explaining that  it will prevent erosion of confidence from the electoral body and  process, while  warning the national assembly to go against the  confirmation of her appointment.

He, however, appealed  to buhari to replace her with another female from  her state, noting that there are many other eligible women for the job.
