External Reserves Drop By 1.4 Billion Dollars In Two Months

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revealed that the country’s  external reserves fell by 1.4 billion dollars in two months.
CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele made this known while speaking on the decline in external reserves at the recent Monetary Policy Committee Meeting, explaining that  the reserves, which stands  at 35.25 billion dollars as of April 16, fell to 34.23 billion dollars as of May 31  and 33.85 billion dollars as of June 15, 2021.

He further disclosed that naira fell to 500 against the dollar at the parallel market on wednesday from 495 last week.
