Cholera Outbreak Hits Ogun As Four People Loses Lives, While Many  Hospitalized In Abeokuta

Four persons have died while several others have been hospitalized following the outbreak of cholera in some parts of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Some of the areas, where the outbreak has caused panic among the residence, according to Family FM investigation includes, Abule-Otun, Lafenwa, Kuto, Idi-Aba, and Oke-Ijeun.

A woman and her child were the first diagnosed of the deceased while they were referred to the general hospital, in Abeokuta while some others affected are vomiting and defecating.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Kunle Somorin, who later confirmed the incident to Family FM reporter, Taiwo Fabajo, disclosed that the State Ministry of Health is addressing the issue.
