CCB To Block 200 Bank Accounts Of Corrupt Public Officers.

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) says it’s working with the office of the attorney general of the federation (AGF), to block bank accounts of 200 allegedly corrupt public officers in the country.

Chairman of CCB, Professor Mohammed Isah, who disclosed this in Abuja at a town hall meeting on anti-corruption organized, said the bureau had investigated over 200 cases involving about 40 billion naira with 75 tribunal cases filed, while about 100 are pending.

In his remarks, chairman of the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, noted that the recent clampdown on internet fraudsters popularly known as yahoo boys were yielding fruits, with many of them fleeing to neighbouring countries.
