charly boy laments spending 40 years of his life to lead 'unproductive' street protests.

Convener of “urmumudondo movement”, Mr. Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly boy, has said that he would not participate in street protests by Nigerians over national issues, as it no longer changes the political leaders.

68-year-old Charly boy who disclosed this in an interview on Friday, explained that successive Nigerian political leaders had remained insensitive to the plight of ordinary Nigerians over the years and were not moved by such protests to hold them accountable.

Charly boy, while noting that he has spent over forty years of his life leading protest for a better society, said that he was leading an advocacy and enlightenment campaign tagged “na we be government” and has also decided to go back to music to call citizens to participate in nation-building.
